The X Semana de Estudos Internacionais, which occurred from September 17th through September 21st, was a week with people who has an International Business career showing us their experiences and knowledge.
ResponderExcluirThe only thing the coordinators asked us to do was participate, and that wasn’t any difficult since the week was made and programed for us. Being there gave me the opportunity to open my mind about the course, the profession and the paths I can choose.
I learned that I need much more information and dedication than I thought, I also need a lot of work, reading, and researching to give a step. I saw more clearly that I need to have something more than everyone else, it is necessary to take risks and make choices that sometimes can be wrong so, I have to do everything I need before choose a way instead of another, and even when I happen to think that I have everything to go to some direction I can still fail, but that doesn’t mean that I have to give up, it means that I have to try harder.
All this things that we heard and took as examples will not just help on our career but on all the way to get there.

This event gave us the opportunity to participate in many events with qualified professionals, in my point of view this motivated us to keep on our course. Another good point in this event it is gave us the opportunity to show the different areas that we could adopt.

ResponderExcluirWe knew people that work in the area of internacional business. They presented others areas of business that we can work too, and talked to us about their expericiencias they had abroad, what they did and even the culture of others countries.
They talked too about of the importance of sustainability in the business and how is important to keep our minds always opens.
I wasn't in the work shop, because I participated of the mini-courses offered during the week of studies, that was also very interesting, that we learned about International Contracts and Taxation of Imports and Exports.

The X Semana de Estudos Internacionais na UNIMEP was very nice. I attended three courses and two lectures.
ResponderExcluirThe courses name were, "tributação na importação e na exportação", "os modais de transporte como diferencial competitivo da empresas brasileiras" and "Gestão de contratos Internacionais".
About these courses i liked much more the course about transport, because I prefer logistics and customs area.
I had the chance to meet Mr. Minervini who is a clever man and knows many cultures around the world and who has much experience with international business. His book was being selling for just R$55,00, and who enjoyed that opportunity saved about R$20,00.
I didn't like to attend the lecture on Monday, it was so boring. But I thought that week so amazing and everybody could learn much more about our course.

It was very important to us 'cause we learned so many things about the exporting, legislation, about the importance of sustainability in any industry, about the importance of the languages in the area, about the importance of always being updated with the national and international market.

The “X Semana de Estudos” was an event to promote the International Business course from UNIMEP and happened from 17th until 21th. The weekend was formed by mini courses and lectures for the students and was a great opportunity to learn more about the career. These courses weren’t obligatory but who participated learn about opportunities, export, import, techniques and a lot of things that will be used like tools in the future and offered extensions to our knowledge.

I believe that this week's course helped students to have a idea and sure of what are doing. The lectures were of great importance and has contributed greatly to our development forward foreign trade. The professionals had spent their experiences, and us warned of the themes that stand out on the international scene today, not counting the tips that us passed about labor market that we will face. Certainly, it was an amazing week for us students.

The X Week of International Business Studies happened between September 17th and 21st, at UNIMEP (Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba). On september 18th, there was a lecture given by Flavia Salustiano, from ABEMEL (Associação Brasileira dos Exportadores de Mel), and it had as main theme the Brazilian beekeeping industry and exports.
ResponderExcluirThe panelist taught us about the culture and history of ABEMEL and the whole process of export of the honey that was produced in the company. She talked about the export policy of each country, once that each of them has its own ways of dealing with negotiations and if you want to be a successful negotiator, the first thing you have to do is learn about the culture of the country you’re dealing with and only after that, go on with the next step on the negotiation.
All the tips and information Flavia brought us will surely help me on my career if I decide to work with international transactions involving export and import. I haven’t actually decided which way I’m going to follow on my career, but paying attention to what Flavia said was really good for me to acquire knowledge on this area.

No student was required to participate, even if the choice was his, but some certificates are being used as ADEC to other matters. I found it all very interesting with many opportunities for growth, both personal and professional. Surely I will always use all the information, because to me all knowledge is welcome, even being in the area I have chosen to pursue in the future.

When was it?
On 09/20/2012, Thursday.
What did you have to do?
Search and learn more about it, because this was just a short course, so it is not possible to have a complete learning about the subject and it is very important for my career I will need to dig deeper on international contracts.
What did you learn?
In this minicourse I learned the various types of existing contract, the obligation assumed by signing a contract, the production cycle, type of business and this difference between countries contract in this.
Will it help you in your career? How so?
Yes, because in the course of international business everything happens through contracts, it is specified that the duties and obligations of contracts or who is hired to provide any kind of service, without that you can give up obligations that can’t be spoken proven. Also the fact that each country has its laws and specifications so the study on this issue is very valid for career in which I intend to follow this course.
